The Next Step

These instruments are built for the advancing violinist who is no longer a beginner. Advanced techniques require an instrument up for the task, and our step up violins help students to grow their skills.

Our Violins are

Sensitive and supportive.

For students who are starting vibrato, it's time to step up their instrument. Eastman's selection of step up violins offer incredible value and great sound.

Plug in. Naturally.

Electro Acoustic Series.

Eastman’s Electro Acoustic step up violins maintain the traditional sound and style of an acoustic violin while capturing the warm and resonant qualities of our tonewoods. Our unique pickup system is embedded into the top of the instrument, and our proprietary 3.5 mm jack is used as the end button, making it almost unnoticeable.

The result is a violin that looks, feels, and sounds like a traditional acoustic instrument, while opening up new possibilities for creative exploration.

Made From

High quality tonewoods.

Our step-up violins are made with beautifully flamed maple backs and spruce tops. They also have a hand-applied shaded spirit varnish, resulting in instruments catch the eye as well as the ear.

Rooted in Tradition

Attention to detail.

Dozens of expert craftspeople take part in bringing each Eastman violin to the peak of its sound, playability, and beauty.  The traditional 19th century European workshop methods we employ impart each violin with a beautiful voice and appearance that can only be achieved by hand.
