Meinl 16'' Octave Steel Tongue Drum - D minor

The Meinl Sonic Energy Octave Steel Tongue Drum is made of high-quality stainless steel. It has a central bass note in the middle plus eight more notes around it. These eight notes consist of two reeds each that deliver the tone in two octaves. This creates a wonderful, meditative sound similar to the tone of a handpan.

At the bottom of the drum you will find the sound hole, which can be closed with a silicon plug to make the sound even more compact. There are also three silicone feet at the bottom to keep the drum from slipping. You can play the Octave Steel Tongue Drum with mallets or with your fingers. Just place it on a plain surface or on your lap to start playing.

The drum includes two wooden mallets with rubber head and a nice carrying bag with zipper and handle.
